Committed to the Criminal Compliance Model

The education and well-being of minors are responsibilities that go far beyond teaching

At English Summer, we understand that the education and well-being of minors are responsibilities that go far beyond teaching. Ethics, regulatory compliance, and the protection of children are fundamental pillars of our company, and we are deeply committed to respecting and promoting them in all our activities. We know that these issues are not only a legal requirement but a moral obligation that we take very seriously.

Compliance Model: A Comprehensive Commitment

Over the years, we have developed a Compliance Model that not only ensures compliance with current regulations but also promotes an organizational culture based on integrity, transparency, and best educational practices. This model is the foundation on which we operate, ensuring that every action and decision is carried out with the highest ethical standards.

Code of Ethics: Guiding Principles and Values

To ensure that all our collaborators and participants align with these principles, we have a Code of Ethics that guides our behavior. This code is not just a set of rules but a manifestation of our values, which defines the way we work and enables us to offer a responsible and high-quality service. Adherence to this code is essential for the trust of our clients, employees, and society in general, as it establishes the foundations of an ethical and respectful professional relationship.

Child Protection: A Core Pillar of Our Activity

At English Summer, the protection of minors is a priority. We understand that education during leisure time is a space for learning and development but also an environment where participants must feel safe and always respected. For this reason, we have implemented a Child Protection Protocol that includes specific measures to prevent any type of risk.

Our dedication to child protection encompasses various actions, including:

- Ongoing training of our staff, ensuring they are always informed and trained to act according to best practices in child protection.

- Clear rules and established procedures to responsibly manage any potential risk situations.

- Ensuring the safety and well-being of children: Guaranteeing that all activities are safe, supervised by trained personnel, and tailored to the ages and abilities of the participants.

- A proactive commitment to a culture of respect and responsibility, reflected in all aspects of our work and in every interaction with minors.

In this sense, it is important to highlight that, although many organizations may address the issue of child protection, at English Summer we ensure that our actions and protocols are implemented with the greatest rigor and dedication possible.

Whistleblower Channel: Promoting Transparency

We take compliance with our rules and principles very seriously. If any member of our community detects behavior that violates our Code of Ethics or internal regulations, we provide a Whistleblower Channel to ensure that these situations are managed with full transparency. This process will be supervised by our Ethics Committee, an independent body responsible for receiving and coordinating complaints, as well as applying the proper resolution of cases and taking necessary actions.

The complaints may refer to various irregular behaviors, and at English Summer, we manage each of them with the utmost seriousness and commitment. Below are some examples of situations we consider unacceptable and how we ensure they are prevented and dealt with promptly to avoid their occurrence:

- Inappropriate or abusive behavior between monitors and children: We promote a respectful environment with zero tolerance for any form of harassment or abuse, whether physical, verbal, or emotional. We have protocols in place and provide constant training for our monitors to ensure that any inappropriate behavior is detected and addressed immediately.

- Non-compliance with health and hygiene standards: We ensure that all our facilities and activities comply with strict public health regulations. This includes ongoing supervision of food, proper use of facilities, and a rigorous cleaning process to guarantee a safe and healthy environment for children.

- Unfair or inequitable treatment of participants: We foster an inclusive environment where all children, regardless of their background or condition, feel valued and respected. We have clear policies against discrimination and work to ensure each participant has fair and equitable experience.

- Improper use of personal information: We protect the privacy of minors and their families. We ensure that all confidential information is managed in accordance with current data protection regulations, ensuring its security and preventing any misuse.

- Use of illegal or dangerous substances: We implement strict measures to ensure that no prohibited substances are accessible either within the facilities or during camp activities. Our monitors are trained to identify potential risks and act immediately if needed.

- Failure to comply with safety standards during outdoor activities: All our activities are carried out under the supervision of trained monitors and with the proper equipment to minimize risks. We ensure that each activity is carried out safely, with specific protocols for each type of exercise.

- Neglect of participants emotional well-being: We offer emotional support to minors, promoting an environment where they can express themselves and feel accompanied. In any conflict or discomfort situation, our monitors are trained to intervene appropriately, ensuring the well-being of the children.

- Delayed action in case of suspected abuse or neglect: We have a clear and prompt protocol to act in the case of suspected abuse or neglect. We ensure that any risk to the physical or emotional well-being of minors is managed immediately and responsibly.

- Lack of respect for the environment in all activities: We promote a culture of sustainability in our activities. From litter collection to respect for local flora and fauna, we teach children the importance of caring for the natural environment and using resources responsibly.

In this way, at English Summer, we ensure that our practices and activities are always carried out with the highest standards of ethics, safety, and responsibility, protecting both the minors and the environment around us.

Collaboration with Compliance Experts

To ensure that our Compliance Model meets best practices, we have collaborated with FORTUNY LEGAL, a firm specializing in regulatory compliance. Thanks to their experience and support, we have been able to create a robust system tailored to the specific needs of our organization.

Our Ongoing Commitment

At English Summer, we are convinced that quality education depends not only on the knowledge imparted but also on the way in which principles of ethics, safety, and responsibility are implemented. We will continue working to ensure that our activities take place in a safe, ethical environment committed to child protection.
