Acting for Camera:
Teaching specific techniques for acting in front of the camera, including understanding camera placement, adjusting acting for different types of lenses and managing the technical demands of the audiovisual medium.
Improvisation:
Development of improvisation skills to encourage spontaneity, creativity and the ability to react quickly, important skills for both live performance.
Character Interpretation:
In-depth exploration of how to create and bring to life believable and emotionally authentic characters, including script analysis techniques and character psychology development.
Acting Technique:
Teaching various acting techniques, which may include the Stanislavski Method of Acting, the Meisner Technique, the Strasberg Method of Acting, among others, with the goal of helping students find their own voice and style as actors.
Vocal and diction training:
Development of vocal and diction skills to improve vocal clarity and projection, as well as emotional control in the voice.
Training in Movement and Body Expression:
Exploration of techniques for using the body expressively and communicatively in performance, including awareness of space, posture, gesture, and facial expression.
Auditions and Scene Preparation:
Guidance on how to prepare for auditions, including selecting and preparing monologues and scenes, as well as practical tips on how to stand out in the audition process.
Technical Learning of Film Creation:
This aspect of the program will focus on teaching students the technical foundations of filmmaking, including basics of cinematography, video editing, lighting and sound. Students could learn to use equipment
filming and video editing software to create your own short films and film projects.
Specialized Workshops:
The Acting Summer Camp offers specialized workshops on specific topics, such as comedy acting and musical acting.
